Overview

The Screening Tech provides health screening assessments for members and employees.  Working closely with the Lead Screening Specialist, the Screening Tec helps ensure that screening events are successful, health information is accurate and secure, and customers are satisfied.  Screening Techs are expected to model healthy lifestyles and have high integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a current knowledge of and adhere to all Viverae policies and procedures.
  • Must follow and be in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure all supplies and equipment are in working order and brought to assigned events in proper quantities.
  • Must have or have the access to items needed during onsite events: stadiometer, scale, manual blood pressure kit
  • Properly setup and take down event workstations
    • Properly perform all facets of the following:
      • Height and weight measurements
      • Manual blood pressure reading
      • Finger stick via CardioChek PA and/or Cholestech
      • Body Fat check with Omron
    • Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor
    • Respond to all communications from Viverae in a timely manner either via phone or email
  • Excellent customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Health Promotion, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or other health-related field and/or certified as a Phlebotomist, Medical Technician, Medical Assistant or other related position or have valid experience in onsite health screenings
  • Expected to model healthy lifestyles and have high integrity
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and some Saturdays and Sundays
  • Ability to travel with some overnight stays
  • Ability to book own hotel if needed
  • Must maintain a current CPR certification
  • Maintain a high level of customer service in any situation
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation and valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Excellent analytical/critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify problems, research and analyze issues from different perspectives, organize information, reach sound conclusions, and make appropriate decisions
  • Proficient individual that can work quickly and with little direction
  • Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
