Wellness Coordinator

The Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for successfully executing strategy to meet the goals and objectives of the client’s wellness program.  The ideal candidate will be high energy, results-oriented, and outwardly reflect a healthy lifestyle with the ability to influence, motivate, educate and inspire others.  The Wellness Coordinator will be flexible, responsive, adaptable and able to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities.  Overall participation in the wellness program and year-long campaigns will define the success of the person in this role.


  • Responsible for using a mixture of data, analysis, experience and judgment to define strategy and help meet goals and objectives of the wellness committee
  • Create, direct and serve as a point of contact for network of Wellness Champions
  • Work cross functionally within the organization to organize, coordinate and manage wellness initiatives to promote employee engagement
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, meeting agendas and recaps; via phone, webinar and in person
  • Evaluate and measure campaign success, as well as year over year engagement
  • Educate members on the benefits of health and wellness
  • Promote a healthy culture by maintaining constant communication within the organization
  • Motivate members by creating and executing recognition and reward programs
  • Proactively seek information and solicit client insight to assist in creating/delivering value and to identify potential opportunities
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, health administration, exercise science or other health related degree
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in health promotion, exercise or wellness-related field
  • Experience managing health promotion and/or health management programs, conducting wellness initiatives, educational and member/group activities, and handling multiple complex, concurrent projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good public speaking and presentation skills, ability to work effectively and confidently within and across all levels of an organization
  • Exceptional organizational and time/deadline management, effectively manages expectations, plans the work and works the plan
  • Knows if, when and how to leverage available tools, support and resources to complete tasks
  • Responsive, accountable, strong client and employee focus, passionate about people and comfortable with frequent changes and change management
  • Willing to travel up to three (3) times per month and able to work outside of business hours, as needed
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong public speaking skills - comfortable presenting to both small and large audiences
