  • Overview

    The Screening Specialist provides health screening assessments for members and employees and helps ensure that screening events are successful, health information is accurate and secure, and customers are satisfied.


    The Screening Specialist also provides guidance to Screening Specialists who are regional employees. This includes but not limited to inspecting screening events (ensuring the team is conducting screenings appropriately) providing quality control, training new Screening Specialists and building a camaraderie with our clients.


    • Performs screening tests and biometric assessments, and provides post-screening consultations
    • Assists with screening event activities by loading/unloading supplies, transporting equipment, setting-up screening sites and organizing screening materials and handouts
    • Ensures the privacy and confidentiality of participants and their health information
    • Assists with data-entry
    • Travels throughout Chicago and surrounding area.  May require travel outside of the Portland, OR  area at times.
    • Will serve as “lead” for screening events
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of applicable Viverae policies and procedures
    • Miscellaneous special delivery projects and duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in health promotion or related field; or be a CMA, RN, LVN, EMT, or the equivalent with appropriate current certification/ licensure in the state of practice
    • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated experience in providing health screening services and building of client relationships preferred
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification
    • Demonstrated proficiency in performing screening tests and biometric assessments, including finger-sticks, blood pressures and body composition analyse
    • Must be willing and able to travel extensively (“Road Warrior”)
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Works well individually and as part of a team, and maintains an upbeat, positive attitude
    • Previous experience working with the CardioCheck Plus Device or Cholestech is required
